It's a Two-Way Street

Real change happens when both ends of the lead transform together.

Your Mindset

We help you move from anxiety and embarrassment to confidence and understanding. You will learn to read your dog and advocate for them—even when others don't understand.

Their Mindset

We help your dog move from a mindset of 'defence and fear' (or 'manic over-friendliness') to one of optimism, safety, and respecting boundaries. We do this by changing the environment and encouraging positive behaviour change.

Why "Motion Changes Emotion"

Standing in a field staring at triggers causes tension. Walking together creates a pack.

Many dogs do not want close, face-to-face interactions—yet we often force them into it. On our Neutral Walks, dogs walk together, but apart. This removes the social pressure.

They learn that the presence of other dogs doesn't mean they have to fight, flee, or rush over to play; they just have to coexist. Once that foundation of calmness is established, we progress to Social Walks—where dogs can interact off-lead to begin learning positive social skills.

The Truth About Muzzles

We are a muzzle-positive community. A muzzle isn't a badge of shame; it's a tool for freedom.

It prevents bites, yes, but more importantly, it allows you to relax. And when you relax, your dog relaxes.

If your dog needs a muzzle, you'll find no judgement here—only understanding and support from others who have been in exactly the same position.

Our Approach to Training

Training isn't just about changing behaviour — it's about understanding the whole dog.

Aslan at Hayters Field

I take a holistic approach to dog training. Before we work on behaviour, I want to understand the full picture — diet, exercise, sleep, breed-specific needs, and your dog's daily routine. So often, behavioural issues are symptoms of something deeper, and putting a plaster on the surface never leads to lasting change.

This isn't high-obedience training. I'm not interested in drilling commands or creating robots on leads. My goal is to encourage a healthy, positive, and happy interaction between you and your dog — a genuine partnership built on mutual understanding.

Relationship First

The bond between owner and dog is everything. When that relationship is strong, everything else follows. I focus on building trust, communication, and understanding — so your dog chooses to work with you, not because they're bribed, but because they want to.

The Whole Dog

A reactive dog might be under-exercised, over-stimulated, or eating a diet that fuels anxiety. I evaluate diet, exercise, sleep, and breed-specific needs to ensure we're addressing the root cause — not just the behaviour you see on the walk.

The goal is simple: a dog that enjoys working with its human, and a human that truly understands their dog. No bribery, no force — just a genuine connection built on trust and respect.
