Walk Together. Walk Apart. Breathe Again.
The pressure-free zone for reactive, nervous, or over-stimulated dogs.
Your Journey Starts Here
Neutral Walks are strictly on-lead — the first step in building your dog's confidence around other dogs. The goal is to prepare you both for off-lead Social Walks.
If you spend your current walks scanning the horizon for other dogs, tightening your lead, and holding your breath—this is the antidote.
A Neutral Walk is a group walk where we practice the art of doing nothing. We walk together as a pack, but we maintain enough distance that every dog feels safe. There is no pressure to interact. No 'saying hello.' No nose-to-nose greetings.
It is simply dogs existing near other dogs, learning that the presence of the pack predicts calmness, not chaos.
This is a great opportunity for you to work on improving your engagement with your dog during the walk. This was the very first step I took with Aslan, and it changed our lives.
The Rules That Keep Us Safe
To keep this space safe for everyone, we follow a strict protocol.
Strictly On-Lead
Dogs must remain on a short lead to ensure control at all times.
No Greetings
We do not allow on-lead greetings. This prevents tension and allows dogs to relax.
Space is Sacred
We give each other room. If you need more space, we give it to you—no questions asked.
Muzzles are Welcome
If your dog has a history of reactivity or biting, they must be muzzled. We celebrate muzzles here.
One Dog Per Handler
If you are working on reactivity, please bring only one dog so you can give them 100% of your focus.
Stay Engaged
Focus on your dog and reward them for checking in with you. This is training time!

Neutral Walk FAQs
Common questions about our Neutral Walks
What is a Neutral Walk?
A Neutral Walk is a structured, on-lead group walk where dogs learn to exist calmly around other dogs without the pressure to interact. There are no greetings, no nose-to-nose meetings — just calm, parallel walking. It's the foundation of everything we do and the first step in building your dog's confidence.
How much do Neutral Walks cost?
Neutral Walks are £5 per walk, per dog.
How often do Neutral Walks run?
Approximately twice per month. All dates, times, locations, and updates are shared via a private WhatsApp group that you'll be invited to when you join.
Where do the walks take place?
We walk across Dorset and the New Forest. Locations vary and are shared in our private WhatsApp group ahead of each walk. We use a range of beautiful, carefully chosen locations that suit the needs of the group.
What should I expect on my first Neutral Walk?
On your first walk, I'll meet you beforehand to chat about your dog and give you a brief overview of how the walk works. You'll walk alongside the group, keeping a comfortable distance from other dogs. There's no pressure — we go at your dog's pace. Most owners tell me they notice a difference in their dog's demeanour by the end of the very first walk.
What if my dog reacts during a Neutral Walk?
That's completely normal and expected — it's why you're here. I'll guide you through how to manage the situation calmly. Every dog in our group has been through similar challenges, so there's absolutely no judgement. We work through it together.
